In memory of Don
Loving father, devoted husband, caring friend, and a career spent building and growing companies.
Don Pierson III, 60, of Phoenix, died on Friday, November 18th 2016. He was born September 23rd 1956 in Dayton, Ohio. He was a member of the first class at Marcos De Niza High School (1975) and proud ASU Sun Devil.
His life was defined by devotion to family and tech entrepreneurship, with plenty of passion left over for Arizona sports teams, golf, cooking, and his insatiable love of music. He was a fixture in the Phoenix start-up community, and his entrepreneurial spirit led him to found Interactive Alchemy and Flypaper, co-found Learning Edge, and serve as CEO at SalesFitRx and VP of Tech Services Sales at Indecomm.
He is survived by his beloved wife Lori; sons John Paul, Matthew, and DC; father Don Jr; mother Janice; stepmother Patricia; sister Jane; and stepbrothers Gene and Jerry. He is preceded in death by his first wife Katie.
After family and business there was nothing more important to Don than golf. It was his favorite way of connecting with friends and colleagues. Please join us in remembering Don with a round of golf.
The DP3 Memorial will be an annual golf tournament to support entrepreneurship across the state of Arizona. Proceeds will be used to help early stage entrepreneurs with travel grants to access the people and resources they need to grow their businesses.
